We produce the acclaimed tabletop miniatures wargames WARMACHINE® and HORDES™ and the pre-painted miniatures game Monsterpocalypse®. The Digital Sculptor will be part of Privateer Press’ award winning Studio team and will be responsible for sculpting 32mm heroic scale miniatures from detailed concept art under the direction of the Studio Director and Creative Director using digital sculpting programs.
This is a full-time position in our Bellevue, WA office.
• Sculpting Miniatures utilizing digital software – Working from concept and pose sketches, create three-dimensional sculpts of the figures. Consult with Studio Director and Creative Director to ensure the themes and character of the figures are maintained, and render the work in progress of various stages of completion for approvals and creative feedback.
• Contribute to the studio’s creative process - As a member of the miniatures studio, the Digital Sculptor will often be called on to offer suggestions, critiques, and solutions for translating two-dimensional concept art into three-dimensional miniatures, whether on his own work or the work of other members of the studio.
• Prepare Final Sculpts for Rapid Prototyping – Breakdown final digital sculpts into complementary parts for Rapid Prototyping and adjust final sculpt as needed during the RP process.
• Additional Duties – Other various sculpting tasks as required.
Required Skills and Proficiencies
• Experience with Zbrush software. Knowledge of Maya, Rhino, Freeform/Claytools, and/or Solid Works a plus.
• Understanding and experience with digital sculpting process for 3-dimensional models.
• Acute attention to details with a strong understanding of how the details will read at scale.
• Patience, focus, and determination to see a project through completion
• Capability to work under the direction and needs of mold makers, production specialists, and artistic directors.
• Ability to keep cool and produce quality work under pressured deadlines
Preferred Skills and Proficiencies
• Familiarity with Privateer Press’ properties. These include WARMACHINE, HORDES, Iron Kingdoms, Monsterpocalypse, Bodgers, Grind, and Formula P3.
• Familiarity with metal, resin, and plastic production methods
• A background in games or similarly creative job (e.g. skateboarding, video games, board games, comics, etc.)
• Experience working in a team environment
• Great sense of humor, the ability to quote movies (good and bad), and a desire to participate in the development of a fast-paced, growing company

5) Provide a print ready STL example of your work no larger that 30mb.
