Prayer alone does not maintain the warjacks of the Protectorate. The mechaniks who learn their trade from the Vassals of Menoth view their duties as a holy necessity. They follow the Protectorate’s warjacks into the thick of battle, using the ’jacks themselves as moving fortresses. Armed only with his tools, the mechanik’s greatest weapon is his expertise to keep the warjacks running no matter how severe their damage.

For the Empress and the Motherland
In the cold north of western Immoren lies the mighty Khadoran Empire, whose massive military epitomizes the national ideals of strength and resilience. Legions of Winter Guard march at the call of the empress, bent on conquest of the entire Iron Kingdoms. Led by powerful warcasters as unrelenting as the Khadoran winter and backed by elite soldiers such as the disciplined Iron Fang Pikemen and the imposing Man-O-War troopers who stride into battle in great steam-powered suits of armor, the army of Khador is ready to crush all who stand against them.

The bounty hunter team of Dannon Blythe and the trollkin known simply as “Bull” has gained infamy across the war-torn region for their ruthless determination and efficiency. Wielding an impressive arsenal, they often take the expedient route of delivering targets dead—allowing them to complete twice as many jobs while avoiding the tedious hassle of handling live prisoners.

The Ripjaw’s pincer-like jaws are used to hold its victims in place while its bone saw cuts them into mangled and unidentifiable bits. Necrotechs take particular delight in using the Ripsaw, as the ’jack efficiently dismembers its victims into component pieces. Regardless of these lethal armaments, the Ripjaw remains quick and agile like its brethren and serves its master by maneuvering its arc node to wherever required to disrupt the plans of the enemies of Cryx.

The light warjacks commissioned by the Cygnaran Armory set the standard by which all light ’jacks are judged. The original Charger chassis has proven an excellent platform for versatile and deadly machines. The Firefly is the most recent variant of the Charger chassis and possesses cutting-edge electro-mechanika capable of frying opponents to a crisp.

A number of Winter Guard conscripts have recently trained to use of rifles as part of the ongoing modernization of the Khadoran army. Those selected to join the Rifle Corps receive advanced training with their Blaustavya military rifles. When ordered by their sergeant, a Rifle Corps squad can produce such a tremendous volume of fire in a general area as to make it virtually impassable to enemy troops.

Few soldiers are as hated and feared by the Motherland’s enemies as Kommander Viktor Strakhov. Strakhov takes pride in the fact that he has never refused a mission, no matter how dangerous. Although he prefers to rely on his physical superiority, his potent arcane abilities have been refined to aid him in the shock assaults in which he excels. Strakhov and his ‘jacks launch brutal strikes against enemy positions, slaughtering the enemy before they can react. With each engagement, Strakhov changes the face of warfare in the Iron Kingdoms to match his vision of bloody excellence.
