Iron Kingdoms Roleplaying Game: Core Rules Release Moved up to Sept. 19
BELLEVUE, WA, August 23, 2012 – The new Privateer Press games LEVEL 7 [ESCAPE], Heap, and the Iron Kingdoms Full Metal Fantasy Roleplaying Game: Core Rules all sold out at Gen Con due to overwhelming demand.
“We had an unbelievable line snaking through the convention hall and pouring into our booth when the show floor opened, and next thing you know, the Iron Kingdoms RPG was gone,” said William Shick, Director of Business for Privateer Press. “And the excitement surrounding LEVEL 7 [ESCAPE] was palpable, so we knew we had something special with this game.” LEVEL 7 [ESCAPE] hit the top of BoardGameGeek’s “The Hotness” chart last week and proved to be one of Gen Con’s most anticipated releases. Thousands of attendees visited the Privateer Press booth to try demos of LEVEL 7 [ESCAPE] as well as the new Bodgers Games title Heap, inspiring sellouts of both games before the end of the convention.
In response to the enthusiasm shown at Gen Con for the Iron Kingdoms roleplaying game, and thanks to the product shipment arriving early, Privateer Press has moved up the release of the Iron Kingdoms Full Metal Fantasy Roleplaying Game: Core Rules to September 19 from its originally planned October release. LEVEL 7 [ESCAPE] releases September 19 as well. Heap is available now.
