With the second terrain competition concluded, I have to say I was really impressed with the quantity and quality of the entries. There were a lot of fantastic buildings submitted, and I’m glad to see that so many of you captured the spirit of the Iron Kingdoms for your gaming tables.
The guidelines for the contest were to create a building you’d find in the Iron Kingdoms. So, without further ado, here is the winning entry sent in by Benjamin Williams:
Ben made a fantastic building, complete with plenty of pipes, boilers, and lots of rust! I really dig the window boxes and I-beam support braces. The metal walkways add a lot to the playability of the piece. Congratulations, Ben!
An honorable mention goes out to Tomasz Dobros, who made a trio of houses. The painting and use of color is really nice!
There were so many great entries, I’ve got to show them all off.
Danny Samuels’ sent in Baba Yaga’s hut, complete with mechanikal chicken legs.
Tim Stone sent in this Cygnaran Row House.
Stephen Stacey submitted this factory.
Ben Pfeiffer put together this nicely weathered building.
Sheldon Rothwell sent in this mercenary hangout called “Guns, Girls, and Grubb.”
Here’s Iron Peanut’s tower, covered with steam pipes.
Steven Bergmann’s building, shown here, has a great underpass.
Justin Roth is representing HORDES with his Farrow mud hut.
Pete Andriot sent in these buildings on behalf of the guys at the Louisville Game Shop.
Dan Lewis built this Khadoran Inn and used individually cut foam stones for the foundation.
Ben Williams wins the Khadoran Inn from the tutorial. Thanks to everyone who sent in entries! It’s nice to see the variety and different styles everyone uses for their construction.
‘Til next time!
