Lock & Load GameFest 2012 has come and gone, and even though I didn't think it was possible, I had an even better time than last year! If you saw me there, I was probably a blur of activity. As the Organized Play and Volunteer Coordinator it was my job to run the Press Gang and all the tournaments at the show. I was a fairly busy guy.
One on my personal favorite moments was judging the Masters finals between Jason Flanzer and Jacob Van Meter.
Getting to showcase this game on the big screen was amazing! Every time I looked up from the table it seemed more and more people were joining the crowd to watch two beautifully painted armies duke it out. Of course, it didn’t hurt that a truly excellent player piloted each army.
We’ve received some great feedback on the final’s showcase from attendees, and we hope to make the experience even better next year.
Thanks to everyone who participated and filled the whole show with so much energy and excitement. I can’t wait to do it all again next year!
