Steamroller

The Steamroller event format is the official tournament format for Warmachine, Hordes, and mixed event types.

Steamroller events will be balanced, fun, competitive, and a fair test of skill. While additional prizes are encouraged for sportsmanship and modeling/painting excellence, these are not factors taken into account when determining the first second and third place winners of a Steamroller event.

When creating an events prize support, Privateer Press uses a format that allows stores to use various options and upgrades to help keep players excited about the prizes you intend to offer. With that in mind, we offer three different starting points for retailers who would like to offer our official prize support.

Basic Kit:

These kits are intended for use in areas that are expecting less than eight (8) players to participate in their Steamroller event. Great for areas that are only just starting to participate in our organized play program or whose populations cause a smaller turnout; this free kit is also the perfect addition for those who still like an “official” Privateer Press touch in otherwise custom made local prize support.

Coin Addon:

These kits are intended for use in areas that are expecting a minimum of eight (8) or more players to participate in their Steamroller event. Areas with a steady group of players and those who are pushing for greater growth will generally find this to be the best place to start building their prize support options. This kit gives a solid set of prize options while still leaving plenty of room for a forward thinking retailer to add some of our upgrades or their own unique touch to this prize support.

Trophy Addon:

These kits are intended for use in areas that are expecting a minimum of sixteen (16) or more players to participate in their Steamroller event. With exclusive trophies actually made and finished by Privateer Press, this kit provides the very best prize support that can be had short of attending an event held by Privateer Press themselves.
